Hi! I've recently installed PiGallery, and after some trouble with the config, I've been able to display my images but without the thumbnails.
My logs say this:

[error] 20103#0: *167 FastCGI sent in stderr: "PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function piGallery\model\imagecreatefrompng() in /var/www/Pigallery/model/ThumbnailManager.php on line 46"

and that's correct. I looked through your code, and you call the function "imagecreatefrompng()" but isn't defined anywhere on your files.
This first happened with a no-db setup, so I installed and configured MySQL, but the problem is still there. How did you create your thumbnails for your screenshot?

I tried this on my Pi Zero but the CPU was a bit limiting on thumbnail generation.

I read about this alternative that is "insanely fast" https://github.com/mattes/epeg and found some php bindings here https://github.com/rsky/php-epeg

Could you test out the performance difference?

i have an external folder soft-linked and configured, but I can't see any results of scanning. also getting "[object Object]" message at the top of the screen. where should I look for logs to see what's going on? thanks.

I am trying to use Database mode but I found this Error message.
Could you please help me know how to initialize pigallery database?
