When I remove an artboard in the middle of a row, I would like to see the artboard arrangement update. Maybe it’s possible to listen for the "remove artboard" event and then run the layout method? :)

Similar to what I do in Sketch Mate:

It would be great if the artboard rename feature could add the A1, A2, A3... before the artboard name instead of replacing it. I have been looking for this tool since I bought sketch

I'm having a lot of trouble with this plug-in today, although it seemed to be working well the other day. It isn't working despite my settings. I tried restarting sketch, uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, nothing works. Am I doing something wrong?

• Is it intended to function across multiple pages in one sketch file, if so, it doesn't seem to be?
• How do I turn off and on the ability to use the plug-in on certain pages?

I have a page with 4 normal artboards and 2 symbols (for internal page use), arrange artboards command doesn't work for this page. For all other pages it works perfectly, also with internal symbols. "Arrange symbols" option is turned on.

It would be preetttty rad if my page titles updated the artboard names and then the order of the artboards (as you have it) determined the numbering. So say I'm running the artboard manager then all my artboards get the name of the page they're on and they get numbered according to their order visually on the artboard. To me that would make this plugin indispensible. No more selecting artboards to rename them — they just update automatically based on how you name the pages.

Ideally we can have a GUI panel where the artboard options would be reflected. I'd like to see a new option that allows me to control which artboard is managed by the plugin and call the plugin settings panel from the inspector.

The properties of the plugin ultimately would be as a pop over menu where we can modify padding and renaming pattern.

I appears the plugin doesn't support artboards when they are a also symbols. When an artboard is converted into a symbol it doesn't automatically rearrange them when they are moved.

Did you plan to add an option to arranges artboards vertically?

Currently there is only one option, arranging artboards horizontally.

Awesome plugin. When viewing artboards on invision with alphanumeric filter. A1, A10 show up next to each other. Would be helpful to prepend 0 in front of single digit numbers: A01, A02…A10.

Not sure if I'm interpreting this right but it sounded like the artboards were supposed to automatically snap on move/resize, but right now I have to manually use the keyboard shortcut. Am I missing anything?

first of all, thanks a lot for creating this plugin. It helps me and my OCDs alot not to waste time on artboard positioning.

Since a while I have troubles arranging artboards. Switch artboards to existing rows works fine but assigning them to new rows seem inconsitent most of the time It just jumps between the existing rows.

I tried reproducing the bug a new document but was not able to find out when it is not working for me.

Also it would be nice if there was any feedback or guidance of where the new position would be while draging the artboard around or at least docu about how to position it (e.g. to create a new row).

I've attached my artboard manager settings and tried to generate a gif of the issue but its too large for github. If it helps I can upload a video to youtube. Sadly I cannot share the document.

For some reason, after the Sketch 52 update, the screens don't re-arrange so smoothly as before.
They're randomly meshing up.
I tried to rename all the artboards, but there seems to be no logic in the rearrangement.

Unfortunately, the plugin does not work for 1-2 weeks with Artboards, which have been converted into a symbol.

I love the plugin, but I have files that I do not want to use with artboard manager, I would like to be able to disable this plugin for it

Ale, I'm really psyched to try this out, but I can't figure out how. I Googled around some but I still can't figure out what to do after I downloaded the repo. Do you have a quick set of steps I should follow? Thanks a ton for developing this!

Currently these are not triggered by Sketch, so some hacking will need to happen before these are supported, but let this issue serve as a reminder for me to look into that.

Great plugin, I absolutely depend on it! Any chance dark mode support could be added, so the labels in the settings popup are readable in both modes?

In older version with this action I can place artboard between 2 rows and it creates a new row. But now it doesn't works.

I love this plugin and use it daily. I just ran into an issue. I had 96 art boards on one page and the app failed. If you moved an art board the art boards would scatter and randomly reorder all over the place. Rendering the plugin useless. I had to remove some art boards to another page and then the plugin seemed to be working ok. Not sure if you are aware of this issue. If it can be updated to work with more art boards that would be amazing. Thanks!

I am pretty confident there is a conflict with Paddy 2 and this plugin. I started using this this morning and ran into Sketch crashing bugs with all the newest artboards I created since I started using this plugin. If I deactivate Paddy, then the file opens fine. If I delete all the work from this morning and reactivate Paddy, it also works fine.

Not sure the cause of this or what's going on in the background, but just wanted to bring it to light. Will post the same on Paddy 2.

Tried to update, uninstall, reinstall, nothing seems to make the plugin work.

I have a file with multiple artboards and when they were in a single row, all elements are aligned to pixel. Automatically moving them the artboards causes the elements to shift.

Automatic positioned artboard (the artboard is pixel perfect, the elements are not, when using align to pixel, the snap to fractions). Using "Round to pixel" command produces fractioned results as well.

When I use the artboard position controls to move it up and down 1px all elements snap back to pixel perfect positions.

My favorite plugin is unusable in the latest Sketch update :( If you have time I would love a fix :)

Sometimes when copying artboards from a file to another the Undo (CMD + Z) functionality stops working, although if I turn the artboard manager plugin back off that same functionality now works!

The bug usually happens when copying a number of artboards (like 14 artboards) from file to file and then clicking undo.

When working with a set of artboards for a responsive component, I like to put the different widths in a row and arrange variations in columns so that a column only has the artboards of a single width. Currently, this plugin prioritizes alignment in rows before columns. It would be great to be able to switch the priority with a global setting (or even per document)

Current behavior:

Desired option:

Would be possible to have an easy way to turn the plugin on and off?
Sometimes I just wanna move stuff around freely and later on 'run' the organiser.

At the moment I have been doing that enabling and disabling the plugin on Manage Plugins on Sketch.

It just doesn't work - Sketch 63

This plugin is amazing. I decided to tweak the vertical grid spacing and when I did the entire plugin stopped working. I set the settings back and now whenever I lay anything out it lays out all artboards in one long row. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but it's still doing it. Now I'm lost forever! Any ideas on a fix?

Loving it, save a lot of time. However it suddenly doesn't work anymore after I upgraded Sketch to latest version. (60 and 61).

I uninstalled and installed again, doesn't work.
Any toggles do not work..
Disable all other plug-in, still doesn't work.

With the new update to Sketch 52, the plugin doesn't work. There's no error saying it's incompatible but none of the features work now. Please update!

I use Sketch to prepare slide decks.
I usually have several artboards on the same page (~200-500).
The plugin is slow when the number of artboards reaches ~100.
If I submit a PR to improve the code, is there a possibility to get it merged?

It'd be awesome if we could preface an artboard with a set of characters (e.g. --) to have it ignored by the organizer. Thanks! Still digging the plugin great work!

Awesome plugin, really love it so far! It doesn't seem to do anything on the symbols page though (even with the command from the plugin menu) – would be awesome if you could make it work there aswell!

In old version, artboard can be renamed as A1,A2....B1,B2.....
It don't work now.

Nothing happens when you activate/use it.

It's well with en, however, when the AppleLanguages is (zh-CN) , it doesn't work, the sketch had been supporting the language for a long time.

The plugin doesn't do anything in Sketch 48, it was working as described in 47.

First off - just wanted to say what a convenient plugin this is!

Think this issue would best understood along with a graphical explanation.

Take this page configuration:

[a] [b] [c]
[d] [e] [f]

I think I'm currently experiencing issues with the automatic positioning of the artboards. It seems like I can arrange my entire page of artboards such that all artboards are aligned with the top-left most artboard [a]. So if I move [a] left (in the -x direction of a 2D plane), [b] would follow suit, [c] would as well, [d] etc.... This behavior works moving [a] up and down (+/- y directions). However if I try to move artboard [a] to the right, it will just snap back to where it was. Naturally, the artboards on the page are all gradually shifting to the left without an ability to reconfigure them to the origin (0,0).

At the end of the day, this is just a small detail but I guess just enough of a problem for me to write this up haha. It'd be cool if I were able to designate an 'anchor' artboard, that moves all the other artboards in the page relative to their position to the 'anchor'.

I absolutely adore this plugin and mention it to all my fellow designers. I would love to have just one additional feature which is the ability to include a header between rows A, B, C, etc. I've tried including a "header row" artboard but the plugin doesn't seem to like these and will rearrange improperly around it. I often share my Sketch files with team members and the ability to include large headers per section would help make the files very clear when sharing and opening for the first time.

Excluded artboards change placement in the Layer List, moving to top (as if one executed the Bring to Front command on excluded artboards), instead of retaining their position in the Layer List.
Any way to avoid this?

It's Bwoken since the last update... All artboards disappear... I am glad i don't have autosave active.

I absolutely love this plugin but with the latest update added a shortcut and it clashes with one of my most used shortcuts so it would be great we if could customise or disable the shortcut since i keep my Artboard Manager in auto mode anyway.

When I move artboards to a new row, the plug-in put together two other rows automatically. Then try to separate them again and then the plugin move more artboards to the new row.

When organising long artboards (like those neccessary for scrollable prototypes) cannot be organised into multiple rows - they are arranged into one row when they should be split out into multiple.
