The back-end service should log all events as they are received from the "broadcaster" map.

The current administrative UI for scheduling live broadcasts and rebroadcasts is serviceable, but it should be improved for more intuitive use.

Allow the broadcaster to change the map displayed to the consumer (i.e. previous years' electoral college maps, unemployment maps, etc.)

Allow the broadcaster to push out arbitrary web content to all consumers

Select a web hosting service that can support the application during live broadcasts.

Implement an authentication mechanism to confirm the identity of the broadcaster in production.

Re-broadcast events as previously logged. This will simulate broadcaster interaction during television program re-airing.

Identify any practical limitations of the system, particularly in regard to number of concurrent consumers.

Allow for testing outside of development environments.

This map is identical to the current "Electoral Calculator" map (both in appearance and interaction). All changes are sent to an external service in real time.

Document the necessary steps to update the deployment environment

This map is read-only, but updated dynamically as the "broadcaster" map changes.

Create documentation such that given:

• A video file
• A set of desired map changes to synchronize with playback

...the author can use the "broadcaster" interface to record the desired changes and package the generated data with the video file.

Cleanly integrate the broadcaster and consumer controls into the Map Center front end.
