Looking for a specific folder/file in this colossal archive sometimes becomes frustrating. Good naming conventions help to avoid this hassle. The gain will be noticeable. You will save time in seeking the files and folders. You will also save yourself from the burden of rewriting a report, re-collecting data, etc., while the entire time you think that you have done a similar (or same) task before, but now you can not locate/access it. A young researcher may need to keep this point in mind from the early stage of research for the years to come. It will help if (1) one decides a meaningful system of his/her liking (using others' experience like this note is always wise) (2) (s)He uses it from the beginning (3) and sticks to the rules and is consistent.
