inkdrop-toc's Introduction

Table of Contents for Inkdrop

A plugin for creating table of contents using remark-toc.

Usage

Simply add Table of Contents to your Markdown.

From remark-toc:

  • Looks for the first heading containing 'Table of Contents', 'toc', or 'table-of-contents' (case insensitive, supports alt/title attributes for links and images too)
  • Removes all following contents until an equal or higher heading is found
  • Inserts a list representation of the hierarchy of following headings
  • Adds links to following headings, using the same slugs as GitHub

inkdrop-toc's Issues

It won't work well

hi @blacroix

I checked this comment: #1 (comment)

# Table of Contents
# Something header 2
## Something header 3
### Something header 4

But it won't work.
Do you have any idea?

My environment:

  • Platform: (macOS)
  • Platform version: (Sierra/10/13.05)
  • App Version: (3.24.0)

Unable to get the plugin to work

Hi I've installed the plugin but not sure why the table of content is not getting generated. For example I have the following markdown

# Table of Contents
##### Create Admin User in DB
##### Run Service
##### Remove Service

I'm assuming the TOC will be generated automatically? Am I doing something wrong?

Installing the Plugin in Linux Fedora 39 causes the Inkdrop window top edge to crash

Issue Description:

I finally made the switch to Linux today and installed Fedora Workstation after a deep research on which one was the most stable and full featured for a Desktop daily use.
After installing and set it up, I downloaded and installed Inkdrop and while the plugins did not sync (not a big deal, I reinstalled them all again); I found out the TOC plugin is not working fine.
It was working great on Windows but I'm not going back that route again, I prefer Linux for my personal machine.

Repro

  1. I access any of my exsiting notes. As soon as I click on any of the TOC links, it does take me to the specific section of the note.
  2. However, when I do that, the top section of the Inkfrop app window just disappears. There are no Minimize, Maximize or Close icons. And I have no way to close the app unless I force the closure.

Window after the issue
As seen below, there are no more icons to interact with the window border. And of course, there is no more TOC visible.

Workaround:

The only workaround so far is to uninstall the plugin. Unfortunately, disabling it is not an option since there won't be any TOC of course.

Plugin version: 3.1.0
Inkdrop version: 5.8.0
