Currently it is a google doc. We could use a versioned template which can produce different outputs (pdf, html). Template could be made with Latex, Markdown, .... and being prepared for several languages (English, French).

Maybe a simpler but less attractive way would be to have it as part of the birdhouse-docs using restructured-text.

OGC could provide a test-suite with public available OWS web services (WPS, WMS, ...) which can be used for OWS client tests (OWSLib, Birdy, Phoenix, ...):

• services could be provides as (docker) containers.
• could be hosted in the cloud.
• should be reliable.
• available for common protocols (WPS, WMS, WFS, WCS, ...) and versions (wps 1.0.0, wps 2.0.0).
• Services/Dockerfiles are versioned (public Git repo).

To make the service response more predictable the service URL should also have the version number of the service/container version, something like this:

The CMCC has a project on climate services using seasonal numerical forecasts. Looks a good fit for wps services. Ouranos independently proposed a similar project to the Canadian Center for Climate Services, albeit with a much smaller scope.

We could write a pytest extension to support testing of PyWPS services but also for testing WPS clients, like birdy.
