file-monitor's Issues

Text files are scrolled up when updated

What steps will reproduce the problem?
.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When a text file is appended, I expect the scroll to scroll down, or at least
remain viewing the same segment, instead it scrolls up to the start of the file
which is very annoying

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.0.1

Find fails when matching text exists below the current selection.

1. Select text above the only instance of the text you want to find in the
document.
2. Type the desired text into the Find dialog and click "Find Next".
3. There will be no change in selection.

I expect to see the desired text selected after clicking "Find Next".

The user should be able to choose update append for text files.

Many times text files are changed by appending content. There should be a
mode that maintains the distance of the vertical scroll in relation to the
bottom of the scroll bar, rather than the top. This will allow a user to
focus on a specific section of content that is being added to the text
document (even if it is not added to the end of the document).
