aws-powershell's Issues

Logic in Install Script

In your install script it checks to see if a module exists by running Get-Module, but that checks if a module is installed and imported. I think you might have meant Get-InstalledModule. As it sits now every time I run the script, AWS-powershell is installed.

Either way I love your course and scripts, thank you!!

Re-entrant scripts or maybe Terraform or CloudFormation?

Hi,

I'm working through your Route 53 course.

The powershell scripts are great but I'm having some issues with lab-setup.ps1. When it errors, it doesn't seem to check for partial prior runs, and so I get duplicate records. I'm on a brand new AWS account, so I think that's the reason for the failures. Can these script be made a bit smarter?

Alternatively, what about Terraform or CloudFormation templates to create these resources, in addition to the scripts.

I will be adding Terraform in my fork of this repo anyway, since that will match our production use case. Would you accept a PR with such changes if I submitted one?

Update lab-setup.md in elb

Instructions to update lab-setup.ps1 should include updating the key pair name as well, otherwise the script fails to create the necessary EC2 instances.
