pcleaner-server's Issues

Decide: App design

Server processing option for sure.

On device processing? iOS is able to use London with custom building of the framework, what about Android?

Podcast playback & streaming?

Decide: Payment System

Stopgap then permanent (paypal, etc). Need to make sure client payment tracks to actual service provided (so service stops when payment is missed, etc)

Create Joomla barebones site

Need to be able to:

  • Create an account.
  • Enter a qualified URL for your feed.
  • Populate previous info into a DB or FlatFile

m4a not supported

sox FAIL formats: no handler for given file type `m4a'

need to create some logic to detect m4a files and convert to wav or something before passing thru sox

POC for audio processing

Downloaded a podcast with a podcatcher, processed it with a basic compression setting in sox, and output out an acceptable audio file

Specify outfile compression settings

Sox:
-C, --compression FACTOR
The compression factor for variably compressing output file formats. If this option is not given, then a default compression factor will apply. The compression factor is interpreted differently for different compressing file formats. See the description of the file formats that use this option in soxformat(7) for more information.

Script gets stuck in a loop

Script gets stuck in a loop when an outfile has already been created previously but it didn't archive the infile (because the script exited before rsync?)

Create a cron to kick-off processing

it should watch the directory where the RSS reader downloads podcasts.

When a new file is added it should confirm that a processed file does not already exist, and then run the sox command (default settings for now).

The outfile should be put into the web-server subdirectory for the podcast being.

Last, the RSS XML file for that outgoing feed should be appended with the new file entry BEFORE the "" line.

File hosting concern

Need to decide if we’re gonna host the podcasts. Might be something for a later stage once the auto-rss is more robust (could be an extra revenue stream as well).

Can we archive "old" files by offloading them, but retrieve them on-demand?

Finalize basic/OSFA settings for sox

Needs:
-compressor (good enough to ship, but could use more work)
--maybe needs tweaking to squash music less?
-high pass/low pass(100Hz, 17kHz?)
-bass cut, vocal push eq?(160Hz, 2kHz?)
-multiband compressor (nice-to-have, optional)

Migrate from Waffle.io to ?

moving cards is still buggy, and the mobile integration is not up to speed yet.

integration with git isn't being utilized on this project at all.

asana, jira, trello, etc?
