RMUIF is the acronym for this project’s previous name, React + Material-UI + Firebase, which are the three musketeers that make up this template. With Create React App at its core, you can expect the same tooling to work out of the box. It is essentially a “supercharged” version of CRA with all the bells and whistles.
There are lots of features included in this template by default, some of the most prominent are:
- Bootstrapped with Create React App; the same tooling works out of the box for that instant web development gratification
- Initial UI scaffolding incorporates Google’s Material Design through the Material-UI framework
- Built on top of a Firebase back-end with most of their products for the web included, e.g. Authentication and Cloud Firestore
- Robust routing with React Router including protected routes and error handling
- Extensive and well-tested mobile support with full-screen dialogs and swipeable tabs
- Quality assurance through the cross-platform application monitoring tool Sentry
This is just a small taste of what RMUIF has to offer, you should check out the demo if you want to experience it yourself before using it for your project.
The demo is based on the master
branch.
It’s easy to create an app with RMUIF, follow the documentation.
If you are experiencing an issue directly related to the template itself you should create an issue using the bug report template on GitHub. However, if you have any problems setting up the template, you are welcome to join the Discord channel (keep discussions regarding this project in the #rmuif channel) or send an e-mail to [email protected].
If you want to sponsor this project or me personally, you’re welcome do so via GitHub Sponsors. It’s never required but greatly appreciated.
