10sm's Issues

Start Menu Crash on Exit

icons will dissapear, while the blank menu stays open for a few seconds, making the system briefly unresponsive

Windows 11 25398

ExplorerPatcher works well on windows 11 build 25398 except for the start menu. And this project doesn't seem to work. It appears that startui.dll is missing in 25398, causing startmenuexperiencehost.exe crashing at startmenuexperiencehost!StartUI::startui_XamlTypeInfo::XamlMetaDataProvider::XamlMetaDataProvider

Start Menu Debugging

Tray icons do not work on left click when using windows 11 taskbar. seems something had recently changed, as expected in build .258. If using windows 10 taskbar with windows 10 flyouts, clock and sound work will work. restoring the 2 files in the SystemResources folder fixes this, but breaks right click in start menu.

This should be avoidable by combining the decompiled code from both .pri files, the ones from build 21996.1 and the ones from the latest build.

Tablet Mode?

Are you able to also use table mode with this?

Tile Behaviour

  • Tiles can only be pinned by drag and drop from start menu, or from pin to start from outside the start menu
  • Tiles can only be unpinned from outside the start menu, or by unpinning an entire group from inside the start menu
  • Tiles may not have an icon until after restarting explorer.exe or rebooting

Enabling fullscreen mode

I've managed to get the start menu working, but I can't see an option for fullscreen in Settings. How can it be enabled?

Couldn't restore W10 Notification Centre

Hi, i did everything i possibly could to replicate the things shown in the pictures you posted and i could do basically everything except restoring the notification centre.
Is there a way to fully restore that notification centre with everything working as it did in windows 10?

Thank you anyway for your work because i was able to fully restore the start menu i loved for free :)

(not an issue, more of a "DM" I just didn't know where to say it) Update ETA (And my personal intentions for this project)

Hey, this isn't an issue, but there's no discussion tab, so I'm posting here: When can I expect an update? I've wanted to make a custom Gaming-Centric and Functional Windows mod that makes use of 10SM (Because 10's Start Menu and NC are MUCH better [and more functional] than 11's touch-centric ones [kinda like W8 but I digress]) and Rectify11. However, the slow exit bug is kinda painful, and I don't know how to use the Notification Center. I'm not the most "savvy" person around, but I know a thing or 2, and wanted the help of the devs of the Foss projects I plan to use to make this mod possible. I hope this doesn't get you the wrong way because I know you mentioned personal problems, but seeing that Rectify11 V2(.5) came out, I figured I'd get a start. Let me know your plans, hopefully we can "help each other out" (mostly you to me)(lol).

Kind regards, SamuraisEpic.

Manual Install Guide

Not really an issue, but could you provide the location of all the files so that a manual install is at least possible? I ask because the release said a manual install is needed as "install.bat" only partially installs it. I really wanna use and test this so I can make the move to RTM builds as opposed to the initial release (22000.1).

click taskbar corner date & time, the win11 style calendar always crash

Did I miss replace some files? the win11 style calendar always crash , I can't see Win11 notification center messages, the notification banners doesn't pop out

Also , after replacing the AppResolver.dll file, the UWP Software icons don't show on the taskbar , even opened UWP software on Taskbar don't have labels, display blank. Don't replacing the AppResolver.dll file, display UWP icons on taskbar is normal
