running on windows/WSL

Hey,
stumbled upon your project and was thinking of creating an interactive project with it.
trying to get it running on my windows machine but the pygame widow exists immediately on launch.

Running on win10 and python 3.7 (does it need python2? pretty old project)

I tried running inside Windows linux subshell with Ubuntu 18 but it complains about some low level mem open() functions not being implemented (known limitation of WSL 1.0).

i have a pretty complicated audio setup (Voicemeeter ASIO devices etc) so i wonder if thats it?
I had some issues getting pyaudio installed but finally got it working with pipwin.

any thoughts? not sure where to see any error logs. is there way to read stderr or somesuch?
