homeassistantconfig's Issues

Infrastructure automations

Persistent Notifications for:

  • remote server updates available
  • local OS updates available
  • CPU > 50 for more than 1 minute (notification on phone)
  • HDD > 75% full

Kitchen desk

Please add kitchen desk light to the kitchen group. Thank you.

Entry light

Automation
If someone is home
AND if between hours of 7am and 7pm (even better could be sunrise to sunset) then entry light should be on

Curious what you think of this idea!

B&B Out and About automation

CONDITIONS:
Barrett status not home
Brandie status not home
Vacation mode (see issue #6) is not activated
*really the idea is as soon as the second person's status moves to not home, set off the actions

ACTIONS:
Turn off all interior lights (incl. switches)
Arm home to away (or do we only want a cell phone prompt to decide if we should arm?

Garage sensors working

Get garage open/close sensors operational for future automation to be associated :) I have ideas!!!

Vacuum schedule

Kitchen/family--every weekday 8am, Saturday at 6pm
Monday, Thursday 1pm - Bedroom, Hall, Lillian
Tuesday 1pm - Living/Dining
Wednesday 1pm - Office, Guest Bath, Guest Bed

Install Wemo Dimmers

Install wemo dimmers in these locations:

  1. family room for recessed lights
  2. movie room for fan lights - lower priority

Neato automation

Create Neato automations for following:

  1. Saturdays at 9 am and Wednesdays at 5 pm send cell phone alert to both of us to run vacuum on West side of house.
  2. Sundays at 5 pm send cell phone alert to place vacuum in living room and run it during family dinner.
  3. Saturdays at 5 pm and Tuesdays at 5 pm start vacuum; send alert to isolate vacuum in main living area.

Intent is to have separate automation for the 3 areas of the house, taking into consideration not vacuuming while you are working, and hitting the key areas twice per week.

Welcome Home Brandie automation

CONDITIONS:
Barrett status is not home
Brandie status is not home
Middle garage door opens (see #7 )

ACTIONS:
Kitchen lights (bookshelf & sink) on
Laundry light on (see #8 )

TV lamp

Add tv lamp to family room group

Work from home bright

motion in front room + weekday + 7:45-10 am
-->
brighten the room (living room & dining room)

:) thanks

Fireplace scene automation

CONDITIONS:
Some type of button or switch (virtual) for manual trigger

ACTIONS:
Fireplace lamp full on
Other family room lights off
Kitchen lights off
Backyard lights off
Hall lights off
Maybe play soft music on Alexa or other speaker?
Tell Ecobee to ignore the Lil'bee temperature for the next 3 hours when determining whether to run Heat/AC or not. (thoughts on the length of time suggested or better way to handle that part??)

Restart snapcast via UI

Create script/command to restart snapcast via the UI

Add the above script and the command to restart mopidy to the music panel

Mop zone

Create a roborock Zone for mopping the kitchen and the family room just to the fireplace. Make sure not to get any carpet areas.
Also make a script/button so we can run it in HASS. Still a good idea to end by trash can since we'll want to put the mop brush in the laundry.

Install z wave light switches

3 additional to be used to control:

  • master bath mirror lights
  • master bath toilet light
  • laundry room light

secondary; but lends itself to many automation triggers!

Smart Button for Nursery

  1. Nursery brighten the room (script already exists)
  2. Nursery dark (hallway lights off + only the futon light at 1, other lights in nursery are off)
  3. Summon Barrett: figure out how this works in all the different contexts
  4. Start white noise--assuming we one day have a speaker/snapcast system in the room
  5. All Lights off in 60 seconds (same as we use going to bed, but delayed for me to walk to bed)

Alert to close sliding door

Goal is to let us know that we should close slider if it's warmer outside than inside/so we don't air condition Texas

Sliding door open/close sensor - if open more than 90 seconds maybe
Could be done for if if temp outside > temp inside OR if a/c is actively running (not fan) based on energy monitor
Could incorporate if it's free energy time or not

Hack simplisafe

Hack simplisafe so that we can access data for individual sensors.
Labeled as secondary; I suggest that means that it is not exactly an HA code but has implications for HA projects. Inputting here so I can get fun notifications when you do things!
You will live to regret giving me access to this.......
xoxo

Location status

Add nuance to the way location is coded, ideally with the following options. Could potentially be based on wifi: every time my phone connects to a wifi, send my location?

Brandie: Home, TCU, HSC, Away
Barrett: Home, Wisc., Away

Vacation Mode

Create some type of virtual switch or selection within HA so that we can tell it when we are going out of town, and then use that as a trigger for some other things.
I view it as having four options:

  1. off/home
  2. empty (we are gone with the dogs; nobody should enter house under any circumstances)
  3. housesitter

Since I think you will ask, some examples for the "other things" mentioned above:

  • an automation for "B&B out and about" - if both of us are not home, and we are not in vacation mode, turn off all of the lights and arm the alarm
  • turn on the outside lights (tree, patio) at sunset if we are not in vacation mode
  • use this to trigger changes in temperature while on vacation
