Workout App is a MERN based web application that can store your workouts.

To use this repository, first download it, extract and open in any code editor of your choice.

You must have node installed in your computer. If not you can download it from here.

If node is installed, go inside both backend & frontend folder from your terminal and install dependencies by typing the command below:

npm install

You have to create your own .env file by looking at the .env.example file. Without this file, your app will not work.

To get your own MONGO_URI, you need to create your account at mongodb atlas.

To run backend server:

npm run dev

To run frontend server:

npm run start

You also need to install nodemon in your backend before running the application.

npm install nodemon

To run this project, you will need to add the following environment variables to your .env file

PORT

MONGO_URI

SECRET
