yes (java version) doesn't stop on pv -Ss

Describe the bug
The java version on yes doesn't stop on yes -Ss. Seems like it doesn't catch a broken pipe signal.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Compile the Java code
  2. Run java Yes | pv -Ss <size> >/dev/null
  3. Wait until progress bar completed
  4. Ouch, the program still running after the progress bar is completed

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Environment:

  • OS: Arch Linux x86_64 kernel version 5.2.11
  • Programming Language: Java
  • Version: OpenJDK 1.8.0_222

Additional context
Using pv version 1.6.6
