Unfortunately, I think giving context in the YAML files will require extending PyYAML. Open to an easier solution, but I would like to see something like this:

due to direct usage of unit-test there is no nice way to integrate this tool in pytest
yaml allows you to register tags to parse into datatypes
in my opinion it would be a more nice method to express the actions, which are currently single element mappings
example:
#!yaml
---
# A very simple test!
- !run >
echo Hello world!
- !assert-output >
Hello world!

As the original author of a small-scale testing tool, I am aware that test-driven development is ideal. We also need to make sure we prevent regression. In the process of developing this tool, I admit to being selfish; to date, my main concern is my ability to use climactic
in solving my own use cases.
We will not call climactic
"version 1.0 releasable" until it is fully unit tested. The tests will use pytest.
