Ah somehow this is related to the jdk 20 version, when downgrading to the jdk 17 it build like a charm :)
I didn't read further into the topic. But somehow about internal java api interfaces was written on stackoverflow and a comon workaround would be to add:
--add-exports jdk.compiler/com.sun.tools.javac.util=ALL-UNNAMED
to the javac compile options
from flashcard-maker-android.
java.lang.IllegalAccessError: class org.jetbrains.kotlin.kapt3.base.KaptContext (in unnamed module @0x3cdc9973) cannot access class com.sun.tools.javac.util.Context (in module jdk.compiler) because module jdk.compiler does not export com.sun.tools.javac.util to unnamed module @0x3cdc9973
