Bolt-Tunes

A music catalog application built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript (academic project). It uses the MusicBrainz and YouTube API's to retrieve data based on a search query from the user (search for music, artist/band information and albums).

What Was Learned

  • Deeper usage of HTML & CSS (Bootstrap also used for faster development proposes);
  • Several design guidelines for a better presentation;
  • How to program and develop features using JavaScript (vanilla and jQuery);
  • How to develop a search functionality based on parameters and keywords (main catalyst of the project);
  • Knowledge related to the MusicBrainz and YouTube API's.
