According to the technical documentation put together by UVM, the segments will be PolyLines.

Each block segment represents a discernible city block and must have the following traits:
-A single polyline with minimized vertices to simplify data.
-Extended block corners to create a clean corner where there may be a curved curb.
-Location representative of curb edges along the street.
-Endpoints contiguous with endpoints of connecting block segments.
