Alexa Top Sites Api Samples

This repo contains code samples in various languages to make signed requests to the Alexa Top Sites API service on AWS Marketplace.

The samples are designed to demonstrate how to make a request to Alexa Top Sites using the API user credentials and API plan key that are provided after subscribing to the service. You may subscribe to Alexa Top Sites at https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/seller-profile?id=4a9dbf38-88b1-4e87-a459-271154a77d2e. (Note that you must have an AWS account with a valid credit card)

The Alexa Top Sites web service provides access to lists of web sites ordered by Alexa Traffic Rank. Using the web service developers can understand traffic rankings from the largest to the smallest sites. The service enables users to page through the list 100 web sites at a time, and by making multiple requests, to retrieve lists of any size – be it the top 1,000, 5,000, or 100,000 web sites.

In addition to Alexa Traffic Rank, the information returned for each web site includes the number of page views the site receives per million users, the average page views per user, and the percentage of internet users visiting the site.

For more details about Alexa traffic rankings please see "How are Alexa’s traffic rankings determined?".
