crx-bluekiwi-notifications's Issues

Add notification polling option

We need to let the polling time be a variable. Lots of people are reporting that due to the number of notifications they get, they're are constantly being notified.

If we can make this polling period a variable controlled by the user, I think this would help for now. Possible we can also add in the option to make the desktop notifications optional?

Desktop Notifications no longer work

When added in the localStorage option for BASE_URL, background.js no longer works correctly because the variable is not updated in common.js. Therefore we need to provide a function to get the latest value from localStorage.

RSS feed view of JSON Notifications feed

Hi,
I know this is not fully possible for an Add-in (who knows ?)
What would really be helpful (for me) is to have an RSS feed view of BK notifications.
Would this be possible to have tool (don't know what type) to convert the BK JSON notifications feed to RSS format ?
Thanks
-Pierre

Avatar disappeared in notifications pane

The last BK release changed how avatar are displayed.
So, the notifications pane dont display avatar anymore, because the link to the image seem to be broken.
See below for screen
bknotifs

Ability to acknowledge notifications

At present if you're working on something else, you can silence the notifier for a brief period of time.

However, it may be possible to tell from the notification title that this notification is not something you're going to be interested in reading.

Would it be possible to have a link/button on each notification to allow the user to acknowledge the notification and 'mark it as read' so that the notifier app will stop notifying about that particular message, but will continue to notify if other unconnected notifications occur

Clicking notification pop-up doesn't take you to the notification item

Clicking notification pop-up doesn't take you to the notification item, instead it just closes the pop up

  1. Open Chrome (the Google Chrome background icon appears in the notification area)
  2. Close Web Browser (the Google Chrome background icon remains in the notification area)
  3. I get a pop-up in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, saying I have X notifications
  4. When I click on it, the pop-up disappears but I would have expected it to open Blue Kiwi a bit like Outlook notifications

error message: Unexpected token <

In adding the URL option, I seem to have generated a console error. When the user is not logged in to BlueKiwi, the Notification Feed will appear blank, rather than outputting that the user is not logged in

Error while loading or creating list of notifications, error message: Unexpected token <

This appears on popup.js on Line 45. Spent about 30 minutes starting blankly at the code and can't for the life of me find the error.

Any suggestions?

bK Notifier Options does not save URL

Whether I'm logged in or not, the bK URL will not save. If i close the options page and reopen, it will not be stored in the textbox. This worked when i first joined, and either stopped working when MCS pushed their own version of Chrome to our workstations, or made some type of config change.

Inputting bK URL when not signed in causes validation issue

If user is not signed into bK, options page gives URL validation issue. This makes it look like there is an issue with the URL.

Add additional notification to state that user is not logged into URL.
Make URL validation check that URL is in URL format and to strip trailing slash

Error loading notifications

As reported several time on Chrome Store, the plugin doesn't show notifications.
Message displayed is :

Error while loading notifications. Are you logged in?

Of course I'm logged in correctly, Chrome Notfiier Spaces are correctly displayed,
So it's only a problem on "Notifications" tab.
