Thank you very much for this bug report!
Unfortunately there are some issues with our SVD implementation at the moment. See also #48. On the bright side, there has been some work on eigenvalue algorithms lately (which is not yet available in code anywhere), and this should eventually translate into an updated SVD.
Your example will be useful for verifying the correctness of our updated implementation once it lands!
