raster.rs

Library to process GDAL rasters. Provides utilities to process large rasters in memory-efficient chunks, as well as in parallel. Also provides geometry utilities to align rasters with different geo-transform.

Refer the raster-tools README for description of the associated binary tools.

Bump gdal version

gdal and gdal-sys have new versions with support for more gdal versions. Please update the gdal and gdal-sys crate versions in this crate.

It would also be good to have a feature which optionally depends on gdal-sys/bindgen so that building this crate is easier for different gda versions.

Raster tiling command

It would be good to have commands for creating a cloud optimized geotif, or a pyramid of such tifs. It would be good to pair it with a command to extract data at some location/level/band also.
