infinite-monkey-simulator's Issues

Memory Leak

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Edit the shakespeare.txt file so that it is much shorter (i.e. "to be or not to be")
  2. recompile and run
  3. Use top or objectAlloc of the mac developer tools to view memory usage.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The program allocates memory until the system runs out. This happens even if you don't modify shakespeare.txt, however it happens much more slowly because the program runs more slowly due to the larger amount of text to search for a match.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

OS X

Please provide any additional information below.

The majority of the objects allocated are CFString

Clear Stats

Currently you can't clear the stats. Would be nice to have a button to do that.
Currently I'm using:
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Monkey\ Simulator

Monkey no like shakespeare

Not all of us care about how the monkeys are doing on Shakespeare... Would be nice to be able to load a txt file from the menu.
