vault's Issues

Some suggestions.

Great app overall, however it is a bit inconvenient that you access everything through one bottom-right menu button. It would be nice if settings and export/import were separated from creation of new entries and put somewhere at the top.

Also, it seems that after updating to the latest version the app permanently crashes after entering a password or biometrics. This appears only after you update the app and only to 1.03 version. After Plain installation of 1.03 release, it works for a while, but at some point starts crushing and never opens again.

I tested it on two Huawei / Honor devices.

  1. Android 10 (EMUI 12)
  2. Android 13 (Magic OS 7.1)

Custom fields for passwords

Hello,

I think everything is said in the title.

I would like the possibility to add additional fields in the window of creating a new password.

Ability to use keyfiles & Passwords

The KeePass format supports encryption via Password and Keyfile (which i personally use). Sadly there is no option yet to use keyfiles when also using a password, what prevents me from using the same database as i normally would. Please consider adding this in the near future.

Favorites

Add separate tab that shows favorite passwords

Permissions

Just wondering what for the app requires INTERNET? Neither description nor screenshots give a clue. If it's not needed, would cou consider removing it? Thanks in advance!

Add ui tests

Add ui tests to following features:

  • Creating master password
  • Login + MainList + Deleting entry flow
  • Creating new entry
  • Editing service info
    • Editing password
  • Exporting passwords
  • Importing passwords
  • Changing master password
  • Validating encrypted/decrypted file format

Password reminder

If user has not entered an app for a while (3 days, for examlpe), he should receive notification that offers him to open an app. The point is to make sure that he hasn't forgotten the master password, because there is no way to recover data without it. Also, user should be able to turn off and on this feature in settings + change amount of days that should pass before he receives notification

Why Import database, rather than Open

This states it is kdbx compatible, so why is it offering to "import" my passwords, rather than just opening the file?

If I import and save, will I now have a "Vault" format file, rather than my original .kdbx?

Ability to open encrypted file instead of creating master password on first launch

On first launch, on initial screen, there is only one button "Create master password". So user's only option is to create master password. But what if he wants to open already encrypted password file? He has to create master password, then click "Import passwords", and only then he will be able to use the file he intended. There is an extra step of creating master password, and then basically throwing it away.

Instead, there should be an additional button on initial screen, "Import passwords". By clicking on it user will go to import passwords screen directly, where he can select an encrypted file, enter password for encryption, and he will go straight to main screen, without creating master password

More options for sorting

Hi,
I just discovered your application.
No problem for importing the Keepass database.

There is a search bar, but I find it unfortunate that I can't sort the passwords. It would be great to have recently created passwords at the top of the list (sort by creation date, update date, name).

Also, I had organized my passwords into folders, and after importing, all the passwords are in one place, which I find regrettable. I would like the ability to create folders and put passwords in them, or include a tagging system (labels or tags).

Plain text support

Add ability to save unstructured data, probably in form of title/text

sort timeline in Vault?

Hey! Would it be interesting to sort passwords by date and time? (so, knowing which passwords are more or less recent? and which ones should we update? or have update history?)

Groups/Tags

As mentioned in #47:

I would like the ability to create folders and put passwords in them, or include a tagging system (labels or tags).

Find which way is better from the UI/UX standpoint and implement it.

Autosave text

It would be convenient to autosave text in notepad.

Feature suggestions

Thanks for this app. Finally a clean and snappy KeePass compatible password manager.
However, there are some features I couldn't find coming from Bitwarden. Listing all of them here for convenience.

Important ones:

  1. Password Autofill
  2. URI rules (multiple, regex & match detection)
  3. Trash

Nice to haves:

  1. Password History
  2. TOTP

Search

Add ability to search through passwords
