Description

This repository contains convenience files for common plotting layouts and other resources for ECMWF Magics.

Maigics and ECCodes are available on ECMWF website:

Unofficial precompiled binaries (rpm packages) are available for RHEL based distros on SIMC repository: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/simc/stable/

Json Fields

The directory json_fields contains files with plotting styles and graphic options used at CINECA and ARPAE-SIMC to produce forecast maps with a working python script to test them.

Regional shapefile

Instruction to use Italian regional boundaries instead of provinces can be found here.

integrare grafica prodotti SIMC in mm_fields

filtrare grib su filesystem

filtrare i grib da file unico per tutta la corsa pare avere un costo proibitivo in termini di ram (circa 5Gb per singolo prodotto)

per permettere il plottaggio di più prodotti sarà probabilmente necessario lo spacchettamento delle singole variabili su filesystem (magari su /dev/shm per velocizzare il tutto)
