It's possible to make the cannon node fire in the direction it's facing. node.param2 holds the direction the node is facing. It can be turned into a vector with this:

I think the cannonball should do damage on impact with an entity, otherwise players will be able to block the cannonball and stop it from reaching its target, 10-12 damage should be good
