[Core / Issue]: Only displays black overlay about simple-lightbox-extensions HOT 7 CLOSED

Hi, have you added/updated any other plugins/themes around the same time you updated SLB to v2.3.0? The reason I ask is that the "zoo shortcodes" plugin loads JavaScript that is incompatible with the current version of WordPress and would have caused an issue with SLB 2.2.x as well.

WordPress bundles and requires v1.10.2 of jQuery. The zoo plugin loads code that is only compatible with jQuery up to v1.8.0.

This plugin overrides default jQuery functionality which is causing the issue. Removing the zoo shortcodes plugin should allow SLB to function properly.

Once you have resolved this issue, please update this ticket and I will take a look at the squashed videos that you referred to.

I didn't update anything else around the same time as going to 2.3.0. It was the only thing I was working on at the time. Very odd though since 2.2.X did work besides the squashed videos.

I will see what they can do on their end. I knew something was up because no other plugin even came close to working. I would get a modal window and it would load empty. They suggested yours and thought I had found a solution.

I just deactivated the plugin since we are launching the site this morning and it will get a lot of traffic, but I am hoping to still get this working at some point.

You can certainly test it with 2.2.2, you'll just have to download and install it manually from the release archive.

Please report back If SLB 2.2.2 does indeed work as I would be very interested to see that.

I sent the developers of the theme (I bought it) your comments and they had me remove a section from the javascript. It allows the simple lightbox to actually function now. Very happy.

When it activates in chrome, it does the screen overlay in a weird pattern. As soon as you scroll it covers the entire screen, But not on initial click. This is only in chrome, firefox is fine, safari is fine. Any thoughts?

Second, I am guessing that for bigger images in the lightbox, you just need a bigger source image. But the videos all come in at the same size, can I modify this at all? The video in the lightbox is quite small, I would like to make it bigger.

Anyway to even make a global "max size" value so our images might come in uniform? I have the "fit in window" on, but having an adjustable value based on percentage might be nice.

Adjusting the video size is more important to me though since I will be linking to videos more then anything. I just want to get them bigger.

The overlay issue may be due to invalid HTML: Validation results

Please report back if you are still experiencing issues once the validation issues are resolved.

Video size

SLB displays the videos at the size that YouTube provides when the videos are requested. Whether this can be changed or a larger size can be requested is still being investigated. Please refer to the existing ticket on customizing video size for future updates.
