The L.Marker.onRemove method is overridden and there is a check for a tooltip but the super method is never called resulting in orphaned markers if you create markers with no tooltip.

I'm just wondering if it is possible to show a tooltip when you hover over a geojson element?

I use onEachFeature(feature, layer) to add a popup object to every geojson, but I would really like to exchange these popups with your tooltip.

I am having a problem in which I have to hover a polygon twice before the tooltip appears. It never appears on the first hover. Here is my code:

        var thanaName = this.feature.properties.NAME_3
        var target = e.target;
        tooltip = L.tooltip({
            target: target,
            map: map,
            showDelay: 0,
            hideDelay: 0,
            // mouseOffset: L.point(0,-24),
            html: "Thana: "
        });

And here is a view of the console for the first and second hover respectively. There is a difference in the output as you can see. However I am unsure as to what I am doing wrong (or if I am doing anything wrong).
