How to Participate and become a contestant.

๐ŸŽฏ Enter your profile README:

If the contestant spaces are full, and you wish to become a contestant for the next series, add your name in the thread below, we will alert you, when spaces free up.

  1. The first 9 successful pull requests will be accepted and entered.
  2. Fork the repository, now you have your own copy.
  3. Clone the fork copy locally to your computer.
  4. Open the README.md file and navigate to the league table.
  5. Please locate the first empty table cell that you see: Example: if you are the first contributor, go to Name1 cell and add your details there.
  6. Take a reasonable sized screenshot of your profile README.
  7. Go to remote GitHub, and upload the image anywhere, making sure you get a url - example: https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/70807500/172058698-c25e73c5-8c4e-4949-bf57-6a59965bde0a.png.
  8. Now copy the image url.
  9. Go to the README.md where the table is, and insert the image where it says profile screenshot.
  10. Fill in the other fields in the table cell.
  11. Open a pull request.
  12. Wait for us to merge it.
  13. Once merged, you will see your profile entry in the league.
  14. See your votes increase and hopefully...

  • To add your entry, replace the NAME 1 (or whatever number) with your GitHub name and link in this format: [GitHub Name](githubprofilelink).
  • Where it says Profile Screenshot 1(or whatever number) change it to your profile README screenshot.

Each person who wishes to vote is eligible to vote up to 3 times.

Rules:

This is what you must abide to and respect if you wish to participate in the vote:

  • If you have submitted your profile and are one of the contestants, you do not have permission to vote. All pull requests, which are by contestants will be closed.
  • You can vote for whoever you want, and add either 1, 2 or 3 votes.
  • You can vote for multiple people, but remember you have 3 votes - use them wisely!

How to vote:

  1. Fork the repository.
  2. Clone it locally.
  3. Go to the README.md where all the votes and profiles are.
  4. Go to the candidate you wish to vote for.
  5. Increment the number of votes by 1, 2 or 3. Example Before: ๐Ÿ… 5 ---> After: ๐Ÿ… 6.
  6. Open a pull request and we will quickly merge!
