• class level tag set - teacher can pre-load some tags ("raccoon, esquirrel" - ie, a starter set)
• social tagging on/off (folksonomic - could be okay if these two kinds of tagging were mutually exclusive)
• tagging - fixed tagging on/off (could be fixed to "off" if social tagging is on)
  if "on", then add a set of tags (also can "add new" at any time during run?)
• moderation - "teacher only" to let teacher be the one who can add a new folksonomic tag that is suggested by a student
• descriptor - some text annotation (appears next to the discussion in the list) e.g., "this is a brainstorm about Ontario biodiversity"
• voting text (what text do you want to appear in the vote box - default: "How promising is this idea"?)
• voting switch on/off
• Build-on on/off (enables build-ons on notes - simple text concatenation with author's name.)
• major note types (hypothesis, question, example), how many text fields (1, 2, 3, etc)

Might be a good idea to add .idea to the gitignore, to make pull requests clearer.
