Please read the AOSP building instructions before proceeding.

Initializing Repository

Initiate core trees without any device/kernel/vendor:

$ repo init -u https://github.com/AOKP/platform_manifest.git -b oreo

Sync the repository:

$ repo sync --force-sync

Building

After the sync is finished, please read the instructions from the Android site on how to build.

. build/envsetup.sh
lunch

You can also build for specific devices (eg. hammerhead) like this:

. build/envsetup.sh
lunch aokp_cheeseburger-userdebug
mka rainbowfarts

Remember to make clobber && make clean every now and then!

News item

Hi there :)

I read that AOKP is deprecated and come to the homepage in order to verify that.
Once I read the most recent news item is from 2016, I saw that confirmed.

Since I am curious by nature, I also looked into Github and saw recent commits.
So, in order to prevent such things, I suggest a new news item.

Delete "drawable"

Path: vendor/aicp/overlay/common/frameworks/base/core/res/res/drawable
I think you should delete this directory, it's unnecessary and will cause a compilation error.
