Good question, will try a different phone running antenna pod and see. I think the mute button on other cars didnt pause antenna pod on installed on this same pixel phone. Note that my current elantra doesnt have android auto, just dumb bluetooth.

Yes actually i did have pause for interruptions enabled (i hate rewinding to listen to what i missed ehenever google maps says something) i just disabled it and will try and see if that fixes the issue.

Disabling "pause for interruptions" didnt fix the issue. The mute button still pauses playback :(
