As of July 30, 2019, the standalone App Engine SDK (appcfg) is deprecated. It will become unavailable for download on July 30, 2020.

Migration to Cloud SDK is ongoing, but will not gonna be user friendly.

The redirect module is throwing an error because the instance cannot be started.

The threadsafe option cannot be enabled because the application is not a WSGI Python program.

To make the code clear, we will start separating the website of the tracker and the tracker instance into separate projects in Google App Engine.

Google App Engine (GAE) was perhaps the sole remaining service which had a proper free-tier (after Openshift placed limitations on their free-tier last year) where small developers like myself were able to deploy Java and Python web apps and experiment with them.

But now, Google is taking away that advantage from us, it seems. I received the following email today in which they've made it clear that the standard free tier is no longer available. In fact, you'll now have to link your credit card to the system as Google Cloud Build service will be used to deploy the apps which is a chargeable service.

Atrack will continue to work but until we got a credit card, we cannot deploy any instances for now.
