Anca Simon's Projects
My first venture into Python with the Alien Invasion game from Eric Matthes.
Linq methods on lists - and oh yeah, apparently I did know Creed...
A full-stack CRUD application built with C#, ASP .NET Core, SQL database, HTTP-based APIs, a single-page React application with Firebase authentication and deployed with Azure Web Services and Firebase.
For our cohort’s first group project, we built a website for a music band, using Bootstrap, CSS, HTML, and vanilla JavaScript.
Compete (aka Bear Watcher project, incorporating what we learned in the second, Patterns & Tools milestone of the NSS front-end bootcamp) is an exploration into using ES6 modules. It allows park rangers in Alaska's Katmai National Park to track brown bear feeding behavior during salmon season in July and August
In-class intro to full CRUD with a Controller, using the Repository pattern for organizing data, writing API calls, and then connecting to a SQL database for data storage and management.
String and number manipulation fun!
Sundews Smoozer messaging app was a group project demoed during the second, Patterns & Tools milestone of the NSS front-end bootcamp. It uses ES6 modules, SCSS extensions, jQuery more extensively, and ESLint to ensure consistency.
In-class intro to namespaces, classes, and methods
The ClinkedIn project helped solidify my understanding of a project's file structure and of how to use Postman to test API calls.
In-class intro to collections (lists, dictionaries, queues, stacks)
More practice with classes and collections.
Patient Tracker (aka Dino Kennel project, a culmination of the first, Foundations milestone in the NSS front-end bootcamp) tracks patients at a pet dinosaur veterinary clinic.
This is a copy of Zoe's dino-kennel project.
Our first group project in the Backend portion of the bootcamp, the DufflinMunder Console project gave us the opportunity to do some mob programming and keep practicing with basic C# components such as Lists, foreach loops, and the TryParse() method for validation.
Practice with dictionaries!
Based on actual statistics, this project is your opportunity to find out the top 20 most popular pizza toppings!
This was our in-class project during our Data-Driven Apps phase in our NSS Front-End Bootcamp.
*Hacktoberfest2020*: The Flight Reservation System is a Java-based solution that allows users to quickly book flights and manage booking information, updates, and cancellations easily. It consolidates data from different airline carriers and thus provides all the necessary details and rates in real-time. In addition, administrators of flight data can also quickly view, create, and update any information about flights, bookings, routes, and schedules.
The GearUp app helps you manage your camping gear, create packing lists for new trips in seconds, and keep track of your trips and gear over time. It is a single-page React application with CRUD functionality and uses Firebase for database management, Google Sign-in authentication, and hosting.
First real attempt at coding in C#.
