My Bluetooth headphones automatically stops receiving output from the computer when not playing anything for a certain amount of time in order to reduce the transmission noise as much as possible, which can be good for ears, but a great pain for discontinuing sounds such as synthesized sound effects. Now with these silent sound files I can play them on loop to conquer those stuttering caused by receive-halt. Silence is golden!

In chrome im getting the following error, file is served though express (static route)

Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type audio/mpeg: "http://127.0.0.1:8080/assets/sounds/silence.mp3".

When you hit the file directly it will work, but not in an audio tag.

Are these files just headers with no data? And its basically seen by chrome as corrupt.

I mean really.

My notebook model has an issue (probably a firmware issue that they never cared solving) that my left subwoofer stops working (if I don't use the speakers for a period of time) and requires the entire machine to be rebooted in order for it to start working again.

BUT

If I start the machine and play a silent audio file, the sub never stops working and everyone's happy.

Now my workaround is to let it loop in the background and forget about it :)

I'm working on an audio-related product including uploading of audio files, and this project has been quite useful. The files are tiny, so there's very little waiting for the uploads. The different lengths are super useful, too. Thanks!
