Hi is possible to automate the upload to carat via tasker? I just need to intent you are using and so.
Because opening the app daily/hourly can be a bit annoying and time consuming

Currently, clearLocalAppReports is called before checking if either hog or bug report is successful. Although the commit happens after the hog/bug report update, we should have a flag (clearLocalAppReports would always result in hasChanges).

As a naive user I found it very confusing to wait and wait in the first week. The please wait message got a bit old after a few days!
Perhaps you could have a slightly more informative splash screen, with a fuller explanation of what is happening? (Like the diagram on you r web site, for example).

Carrot runs well on an emulator but not on a Galaxy Nexus, Android v4.0.2. The log file shows CaratDataStorage is reporting:

"Could not open carat data file carat-xxxx.dat for reading!"

for the files:
carat-bugs.dat
carat-hogs.dat
carat-reports.dat

It should be noted the Nexus does not have a physical SD Card.

After cloning master branch on commit 55a16d0 compilation fails with messages:

After removing one occurrence in build phases I've got a new error:

FlurryAgent.jar is missing from the libs directory in the Android project. Looks like none of the reports work correctly without it.

I get "Kill Whatsapp for 1h 25m" of battery (for example).. but I need whatsapp for being in contact with my friends and family.

And option to report in Play Market to the developers of the app would be great, or just put on your webpage a ranking of Hogs or most consuming battery apps. A ranking like that will fill a lot of blogs and newspapers.

Many users have limited data plans. It may be desirable that they want to update reports/send data to our servers only when connected to WiFi. We should provide an option for this.

Carat is not available right now in the App Store and there is no ipa available.
Since the app is free and open, I think you could provide an ipa for download legally and sign it to install using Itunes.
