This would be for distant future for me, or if some faculty were to use it, they would want this.

Argument can take required name,

\student{Name McNameson}[...........]

with options:

deg = degree name (PhD, MS)
year = year of graduation
title = thesis title
now = where are they now

it is cumbersome to have to know the options for spacing and appropriate combinations that can work. This needs to be streamlined in some different way.

1. Could it be done with minipages similar to the way that peer_review handles it? Would still need to specify page widths. If the date is assigned a fixed width, then the fraction given to the first column can be specified and the remaining is given to the second column.

would split the hspace across the middle.

1. make each \exper take the mandatory argument and then a keyval list of things. e.g.,

\exper{Did this cool thing}[inst="Institution Name", date="1999"]

and the mandatory argument always gets put in first column, inst always is made small caps and put in second column. Other types than inst can exist for non small caps items.
