The app crashes when the self timer stops the song and I try accessing settings, I think that shouldn't happen

I consider your software to have great potentials with all the amazing features it has in stock. I think it would be better with a privacy policy document which I could pen down for you.

The privacy policy document is to allow users of your software know how you collect and use the personal information they part with when they utilize AB music player and how secured is that information. Where that information is transferred to, and also details about third party apps or services.

If users are aware of this information it'll greatly enhance developer consumer relationship.

If you could provide those information above, I'd draft the policy document.

While Playstore reports v9.0, the only tag on the releases page is v8.0. Could you please add the newest version there as well? Thanks!

Expected behavior  

The app should get installed and ready for use after the apk file has been downloaded.

The app installation failed.
 
 

How to reproduce

1.     Download the latest release of the app from github release
2.     Try and install the app after successful download It will be observed that the app fails to install, hence, the bug.

The Tap Target View Provided on the app First Time Opening Shows Too Many Times. It Goes on Click And Shows Again and Again

Expected behavior

It expected that user can share music from AB-Music-Player to whats App or Messenger .

Actual behavior

when i click on share music to whats App or Messenger it cant share music .

How to reproduce

• open the app
• go to Track
• then try to share music
• note the bug

Can I contribute to AB Music Player by designing a logo for it please?

Expected behavior

The music player supports the shake gesture to perform an action. The shake gesture is expected to function at all times irrespective of any other action performed within the premise of the music player.

Actual behavior

The shake gesture on AB music player which can perform any three actions did not work after sleep timer that was set elapsed.

How to reproduce

• Launch AB music player
• Accept all the permissions that pop-up on first installation.
• Access the app's settings easily by swiping from left to right to reveal the left sliding menu
• On the settings menu scroll down to shake and active the shake control(should be active by default)
• Assign the action that shake will perform
• Go back to music player menu play a track
• Click on the 3 dots at the top right and select sleeper timer
• After time has elapsed, current song playing will stop
• Play the song again or any other song
• Shake phone to perform shake gesture and it won't work.

Expected behavior

AB music player provides an option to set a track as ringtone. On android 7.0+, the expected behavior is, when the option is selected I'll be referred to toggle on the permission which will enable the app modify system(device) settings.

Actual behavior

After the set as ringtone option was selected, as usual the prompt to enable the permission popped-up, but the option doesn't get enabled. This seemed like a device issue but several tests on 4 other devices proved otherwise. However on a device running Android 5.0, permissions are not required but selecting the option to set as ringtone first gives and error message and then a successful message but track is not set as device ringtone

How to reproduce

• Launch AB music player
• Accept all the permissions that pop-up on first installation.
• Swipe to track tab and press the 3 dots beside a track to reveal options
• Click on set as ringtone
• Click Okay on the prompt that pops up and you'll be redirected to settings menu to toggle on of off permission to allow modification of system settings.

• App name/App version: AB music player v Version 8
• Operating system: LG V10( Android 7.0) Tecno L8( Android 5.0)

This one is weird I tell you. Creating and accessing a playlist with the name "Then" Or "When" crashes the app instantly.
I don't know which other words do this, but these two seem to be having conflict with the app.

Device: Android 6.0 (spread chipset)

With the app being open source, would you mind providing an alternative download source of the .apk – e.g. via Github releases/ (see Creating Releases in the Github help)?

Expected behavior

All apps should start only when manually launched. This is the expected behavior of almost all apps except system apps with background processes. I expected AB music player never to automatically play a track except it was manually prompted.

Actual behavior

AB music player automatically launched and played a song when a song played from my OTG storage was played with another music player and then ejected.

How to reproduce

• plug in otg flash drive
• play a song from the storage device with another music player
• eject OTG flash drive and AB music starts up and plays another song.

Hello dev.
I believe the floating action button was meant to fish songs for the playlist. Anytime I make use of that feature it opens the library alright, however clicking on a song, plays the song instead.

Describe the bug

When I launched the app and granted all permissions, I was shown some info about the app features, but it got stuck on the first info displayed. It showed me the info about the artist feature as (where to get running lyrics and artist info in one tap) but tapping on it keeps showing the same info. I couldn't go further.

Steps to reproduce.

• Launch the app.

• Grant all permissions

• Click on skip when you access the page showing instant lyrics, and click the dark shade showing get running lyrics and artists info in one tap

• And see the error

Expected Behaviour

I expected the app not to stuck on a point after allowing all permissions and skipping the instant lyrics.
