Inneal

Inneal is a LLM roleplay chatbot client for the AI Horde, built for Apple devices.

Notable Features

  • Beautiful native iPhone and iPad interface
  • Create your own chatbots or import Tavern cards from interwebs
  • Intuitive "swiping" feature that the kids are all talking about
  • Multi-character chat gives you that voyeuristic thrill of listening in
  • Persona support, so you can become whoever you want in every chat
  • "Auto Mode" takes the guesswork out of using the AI Horde, so you can get to chatting
  • Built with vanilla SwiftUI and SwiftData, so there's a touch of charming jank to the UX
  • CloudKit syncing of chats and characters between all your devices

inneal's Issues

Requirements

Is there a reason why it requires iOS 17.4 and above? So many devices are limited with such a recent iOS as a requirement…

Multi-Character Chat

Characters on a chat is already an array, so the foundation is already laid for multi-character chat. I played with multi-character in ST last night and it was pretty fun...

Persona Support

It would be nice to be able to put in a personal description similar to ST, I saw a bot pick up on it today and it was cool

Chat settings bugged?

Having a hard time getting chat settings changes to save in the latest beta after turning off automatic mode...

Auto-Summarizer

Due to context limits eventually chat messages scroll out of context. In those cases, and as a fun experiment, it could be useful to figure out some way to build summarization into the app in a way that doesn't suck.

Expand Import Options

Flesh out import options…

  • Import from pasted JSON string
  • Import from pasted JSON file URL
  • Import from PNG in Files.app
  • Import from JSON file in Files.app

Fork Chat

It would be nice to be able to fork a chat at a specific message, somehow. Naive implementation is to just create a new chat with all the messages up to the fork point. Why not?

Export Character to PNG

I honestly could not figure this out with the help of Perplexity, requires more time than I want to spend on it right now.

Context Templates

Llama 3 is growing in popularity and since it doesn't respond particularly well without the correct instruct format, it seems like I'm going to have to build in context templates to swap between in advanced chat settings.
