Deploy and manage Microservices on ECS and Fargate

In this workshop we will deploy a microservices based Contacts Management application on Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS). We will also a build a CodePipeline for one of the microservices to establish CI/CD Pipeline.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisties must be met before you begin the workshop:

  • AWS Console Access
  • AWS CLI installed and configured on your Workstation/PC.
  • EC2 SSH Key-Pair

Checking if typo or not

Under Task 3
In the Parameter Value table, it seems the value for <repositoryUri> should be "ECR repository Uri of user-profile-service" instead of "ECR repository Uri of contacts-service".
Am I correct?

Error when trying to create a codepipeline

Referring to the link, I am getting error when executing the command as shown below.

James:~/environment/deploy-manage-microservices-on-ecs-and-fargate/codepipeline (master) $ aws codebuild create-project --cli-input-json file://codebuild-project.json

An error occurred (InvalidInputException) when calling the CreateProject operation: Invalid service role

Is it is a bug or have I missed something?
