This would allow me to write a script that automatically restarts the app.

Currently I have to write SQL queries with half a dozen WHERE clauses that exclude various hostnames and environments – this is vaguely tedious.

These queries are inflated because when I run jekyll serve locally, I have autoreloading for changes, so I can stack up hundreds of bogus tracking pixel events in short order. It'd be better to exclude them at source.

Last night I lost about 6 hours of analytics because I deployed a broken build, precisely when they'd have been quite useful!

What caused that spike the previous day? Did it continue? I don't know. 😢

I should write a more thorough test suite, and block deployments until I know the test suite passes.

I don't use it myself (except for Mastodon?) but it might be worth looking at.

Most of the date filtering I want is for a single day, and it's one of those two – having them as dedicated options so I don't need to use the date picker would be nice.

• It should highlight the stats on e.g. the 5 most recent posts
• It should highlight those dates on the pageview chart
