modi's Introduction

Welcome to my GitHub profile ๐ŸŽ‰

I am Alessandro Lonardi, a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Tรผbingen, Germany), working under the supervision of Dr. Caterina De Bacco in the Physics for Inference and Optimization group. Previous to that, I was a Master's student in Mathematical Engineering at University of Padova (Padua, Italy), where I also obtained my Bachelor's degree in Physics.

modi's Issues

Create conda environment.yml

The test action is not running because the package can't be installed in the GH servers via pip. The problem is caused by scikit-umfpack. I think we can create a conda environment file to create a new env and then install umfpack from there.

Modify README's `umfpack`

Edit the README to mention that umfpack is no longer a requirement. modi-flows can be run without it, and if the user wants to have a faster solver, then they should install the previously mentioned package.

Request full access to repo

Requesting access to the protected branches. It seems that I don't have it.

Steps to give access to another user on a GitHub repository:

  1. Go to the repository's page on GitHub.
  2. Click on "Settings."
  3. Click on "Manage access" or "Collaborators & teams."
  4. Type the GitHub username or email address of the person you want to invite as a collaborator.
  5. Choose the permission level (Read, Write, or Admin).
  6. Click "Add [username]" to send the invitation.
  7. The user accepts the invitation via email.
  8. Collaboration begins with the granted access.
