datmusic-android's Issues

Search not working in apk built from source code

I tried to build the apk directly from source code of both branches "master" and "private" using the following command in Android Studio:

./gradlew assembleRelease

I then uninstalled the paid apk (bundle) I've got from Play Store and installed the newly generated one to test it.

What I could see is the search function not working, every time I write some song or artist in the search box, the page stays the same, without showing anything of the searched song or of other key words.

No problem with the apk built from "private" branch, working normally (also the search function is fine) due to the fact I bought the app from Google Play (even if source code it's 2.3.0 beta 3 version, while Play Store version is 2.3.0 beta 4). On another device I've got, not connected to my Google account, the apk built from "private" branch asks me to go to Google Play Store.

Please point me to the right direction to correct the search bug of the apk built from the "master" branch, if this is a result of a mistake of mine, or update the source code to correct this if it's not.

Thanks for the great app anyway, you more than deserve the support from the paid version.

Network Error - Google Play App

I was using the paid app on the Google Play Store and was getting a constant network error. It wasn't my internet as I tested it on both my phone and my computer and I even tried switching to my mobile data but to no avail.

I tried clearing the app's cache and data, even re-installing (at which point the play store automatically refunded my purchase so I had to buy it again) but it didn't fix anything. The website works fine on both the computer and my phone, it's just the app. Anything I can do?

EDIT: T'was fixed by the developer

Unknown error

In the search page, whenever I search for anything it reloads the search page a lot of times at short intervals and has a popup saying unknown error.

PS: I manually built from source code using my own keystore and I removed the playstore credentials.

From what I see nothing that I did could have broken it except this.

PS.2: I did use github to build the apk and all, but I made sure to delete the release as soon as I downloaded it, and I plan to do that for future builds as well.

Using wavy sliders?

Hi,

I'm doing a self-promotion here :)
Please ignore/close it if you are not interested.

Would you like to use the wavy-slider in your app?
I think Android 13 uses this kind of slider for its media controls.

Demo.

App Crashed

Good night, now I'm having trouble with the Android application, what might be going wrong? Thank you in advance!

Is project still open for development?

Hey man! Love your work. I just wanted to know if this project is still open for active development. For starters, I feel the android app could use a few modifications. A particular comment on the play store suggested that the app incorporate some of the features of a full fledged media player and I agree.
