rackjs's Introduction

rackjs

Basic Racket to JavaScript compiler.

Usage:

- To run tests: `racket test/test.rkt`
- If you have Racket code in a file called `sample.rkt` and want
to compile to JS, run `make sample.js` (and then to run: `node sample.js`)

Notes about behavior:

- type-checking is run time. If you type (add1 #f), it will compile, but throw an error when running

rackjs's Issues

Convert to readline-sync

Maybe not necessary, but use https://www.npmjs.com/package/readline-sync instead of what we have now (which is async reading and requires use of await).

Unnecessary importing of node readline

A config file should be added for the user of the RackJS compiler that allows them to toggle on and off the option to, before performing any compilation, scan the entire program and determine if there is need for node packages to help read command line input. If this option is turned on, if the RackJS program doesn't have any instances of calling read-byte, readline won't be imported and the helper function to allow for a line read won't be written.
