rsts-e's Issues

Getting ??Disk pack error mounting Zork

Great work on putting this page together.
Here's my problem:

System name: RSTS V10.1-L RSTS/E V10.1

$ mount dl3:/override
??Disk pack mount error
$

(simh file)
; DL3:
set rl3 rl03
att rl3 rl02-zemu25.dsk

What am I doing wrong?

Games disk mount error

I'm getting "?PROCESS ERROR IN MOUNT - ?Protection violation" after I try and mount rl01-games.dsk on RSTS/E V07. I have no error messages book and can't find the error by googling. Title page says "for the PDP-11 RSTS/E V10.1 Operating System". But the games description says V07 and up!

I use to play Star Trek on my school's PDP 11/40 running RSTS/E as they say..."back in the day!"

hi

Where can I get the install tapes?

Does Adventure require Fortran?

Thanks to you solving a previous issue with the game pack I am able to mount the games pack. I was mostly interested in Star Trek (which runs fine). However, you pointed out Adventure is also supplied. However if I try and run it, I get...

Using...RSTS/E V7.0

RUN DL0:[100,102]ADVENT.SAV

?Err 28 Open failed for file
in routine “RSTRGM” line 28

from routine “INIT ” line 36

from routine “ADVENT” line 28

Ready

I also tried running this (seems to run OK) first...
RUN DL0:[100,102]ABUILD.SAV

Ready

When I try running it again, I get (not quite the same)...
RUN DL0:[100,102]ADVENT.SAV

?Err 28 Open failed for file
in routine “INIT ” line 78

from routine “ADVENT” line 28

Ready

Thank You
