django-template's Issues

Add Kibana to the cookiecutter

Would be nice if the cookiecutter ask the user if Kibana is needed in the project.

This needs to be investigated, this technology is supposed to need a lot of hardware resources in order to run properly. A warning must be shown to the user at least.

Fetures Brainstorming

If you have any cool idea you would like to have in this template, please wrote a response to this issue.

Happy hacking!

Add Grafana configuration

Would be nice if the cookiecutter ask the user if Grafa is needed in the project and configure base metrics automatically for the user.

Improve usage documentation

With the use of the template, I am sure that there are some minor details that would be nice if they are added in the README. By default, this template creates a README for the project, would be nice to add those tricks in that file

Investigate how to integrate CI/CD with github actions

would be nice to give a built-in CI/CD integration with Github actions. Things to check:

  • How to build docker images and publish them to a repository like docker hub.
  • Check how to control the deployment with this images. Not sure if the docker-compose image file should be pinned or should do something like download the latest image available on the docker image repository
