Compiled flutter engines with metal disabled for iOS
Hello, would it be possible to release no metal for 2 version? Thanks.
It would be cool to have build for version 1.24.0-2.0.pre.94 (channel master)
Thanks!
Hello! New Flutter release, would be cool if it will be without Metal)
Version 1.22.3
ref 8874f21
Thanks for doing this.
This repo helped my iOS project a lot. Thank you for your work!
@acoutts thanks again for posting these. We just generated the flutter_01.sksl.json file and were able to build with flutter build ios --bundle-sksl-path flutter_01.sksl.json
However, what we're stuck on now is how to actually run that built binary. When we do a flutter run
it looks like it rebuilds the binary and the jank is still there. After Googling around, according to flutter/flutter#64626 the XCode -> Archive command uses the last flutter build ios
configuration, so we're now trying that.
How do we do a flutter run
without rebuilding or otherwise test the binary that includes the SKSL file in release mode on a physical device?
Also, can you please confirm that using Archive in XCode really will package in the SKSL file immediately after running flutter build ios --bundle-sksl-path flutter_01.sksl.json
?
Blocked on flutter/flutter#72108
Hi @acoutts
Please update Request No Metal engines 1.22.4.
Thanks
Hello, would it be possible to release no metal for 1.22.6 version? Thanks.
Hi I was wondering if the engines are stable enough, because I'm seeing in some issues (for example this: #60266) stating that they have out of memory issues with this OpenGL flutter engines for iOS. Have you experienced any kind of OOM? Thanks for the engines! And it would be great too to have the last stable release: 1.22
Best regards!
Don't mean to be a bother, but would it be possible to also get a build of the latest stable release from today?
Version 1.22.2, ref 84f3d28.
@acoutts it looks like we're actually getting this error when running flutter run --profile --cache-sksl
using the 1.20.4-stable framework files.
VM: Wrong full snapshot version, expected '96c68176b559725593d198f1045d6b24' found '04645b6182fad3d68350d84669869ce5'
To set our Flutter version to 1.20.4, we did a git checkout tags/1.20.4
Is there something else we need to do in order to ensure that those hashes match?
