krita-ai-tools's Issues

Non-AppImage Linux installation

If Krita is installed via a package manager it might be more convenient to have this plugin be added to the system Krita installation instead of an AppImage one.

I manually added the files from the linux release to my system dirs and it seems to work. I understand it might break things as it requires tinkering with the real root directory instead of the fake AppImage root.

The question/issue is, are there potential issues with this approach? For example, if I want to make an AUR package that places all the files into the user's /usr/lib and /usr/share, should it be that straightforward or is there something unexpected to look out for?

This might be out of the scope of this project, so feel free to close the issue.

bug - Krita Freezes

Krita version: Krita 5.2.0 RC1

Issue: Krita freezes if I mistakenly select a part of the layer that contains only transparency.
Steps:
1.- select something in the image.
2.- cut and paste (ctrl+c, ctrl+v) A new layer is created with the selected part.
3.- still with the same region selected I try to select a part of the new layer that only contains transparency
4.- Not always, but after one or 2 times Krita freezes.

This happens with the 2 selection tools and even when the selection reference is only the active layer or the merged layers.

Thank you for this incredible tool, I've been wanting it for a long time.

Select Segment from Box crashes in Krita 5.3.0 Prealpha

Hi! thanks for this awesome tool!
Just want to report this issue I've been getting.

When using Box Segmentation Selection tool, after selecting an object, switching to other tool would crash Krita.
I'm not sure how reproducible this is on other machines, but it's consistent on my install in that the tool always crashes Krita entirely when switching away to other tools.

I was wondering how to fix this/if other people been having the same issue?

Thanks again.

No flatpack support?

Hi,

First, thanks for your amazing working in elevating Krita's power. I have set this up with out any problem in windows and the tools worked excellently for me. Obviously because it's just dropping something in an install directory. Also loving your stable diffusion work; leaving Adobe in the dust for sure.

But for Linux I had a couple of questions;

"Get the Krita AppImage from the official source and extract it."

The app image from the website yeah? is it possible with flatpacks?
Will there be flatpack support in the future?

Kind regards,

Simon.

Very good!

Just expressing satisfaction. My initial tests was really good, and this tool delivers it. Thanks for developing it.

Windows Installation Instructions

I can't seem to get the installation right. I have exported the 3 folders (bin, lib, share) into my krita folder (C:\Users\me_user\AppData\Roaming\krita) but can't see the tools in Krita. I also tried exporting them in a new folder inside the krita folder, as well as in pykrita. What am I missing? Do I need to change anything from inside the software to make the tool appear? Many thanks
