508.dev's Issues

Add page for client work portfolio

We should have a page with an overview of our client work. Right now that's just the two things we've done (one we're still doing) for jovono, and cofactr. The robotics company thing we'll probably leave off.

Engineering page's "internal projects" section needs to be fleshed out

It'd be cool to list out the various internal projects we're working on, such as the taiwan conversion, twa11y, or allergy card apps, in the engineering page. I think it'd be good to not only list the projects, but also link to their various githubs, deployed pages, and perhaps their relevant wikis, issue boards, and kanban boards on github.

Add page for internal dev workload

Need a page that lists out all the projects we're working on, links to deployments if any, talks a bit about them, and links to their github and their issues / project trackers specifically, indicating people that are interested in contributing can do so there.

Flesh out design and main css

Ok so my basic theory for the site is, develop our own custom very simple style in the styles.css thing, prefer using css variables and calc() when possible, i threw a link to the basic color palette i'm thinking but i'm happy for that to be tweaked, the palette follows the general design principals of "good enough," also linked in the styles.css folder.

I was devving on my pc yesterday though which has a fucked up dpi so the font sizes might be wack

i was thinking we break it into two sections, client and engineer section, because those are the two things we attract. Summarizing what we do for those two classes of people makes up the home page. Then we have separate pages going into more detail for our client services, a striaght up portfolio page for client work,

each project should also have its own page maybe. these are all just simple html files pointing at the same css file. Dead straightforward, cheap as hell to host, simple to update really, just updating html.

Pop-out list of "technologies" under client section should take up more horizontal space when available

Client section has detail components with lists of technologies. Right now they stack vertically. They should take up horizontal space if it's available. On mobile, that might mean they still stack vertically.

See https://calebjay.com/ under projects, or https://calebjay.com/about.html under skills for example. Grid was used if i remember correctly, so that items still align in columns. Any solution is valid, so long as follows design principles listed in css file (don't have link on hand)
